Sources and editorial policy

Quran sources, attribution and corrections

Furqanly presents the Quran with named translations and tafsir. Our reading notes help you navigate passages; they are separate from the original text and its translations. Read our editorial standards or cite our dated public research brief.

Who publishes this material?

The Furqanly team maintains the reader and publishes its guides and reading notes. A team byline identifies the publisher; it does not imply a scholarly qualification or endorsement. About Furqanly.

Quran text and translations

The reader obtains Quran text, word information and translation resources through Quran.com. Public verse and topic pages are built with a saved copy of this data. Translations belong to their named translators, not to Furqanly.

Read the source label beside the translation. Curated verse pages may show Abdul Haleem, while other pages or reader settings may show Saheeh International or another named resource. The source displayed on the page takes precedence over any general description here. Different translations may express the same passage differently.

Tafsir and editorial notes are different

The surah reader’s tafsir panel identifies the selected work, such as Ibn Kathir (Abridged), Al-Sa’di or Tafsir Muyassar. Source availability and language depend on the selected resource.

Furqanly editorial notes and topic overviews are navigation aids based on the linked passages. They are not additional translations, scholar-reviewed tafsir, or religious rulings. Consult the original passage and sourced tafsir for fuller explanation, and a qualified teacher for personal religious questions.

How to assess a guide

Check the verse references and links beside a claim. Where a guide discusses a hadith, consult its linked collection and any grading stated there. Distinguish the words of the source from the author’s practical suggestions.

Articles show the publisher and publication date; a separate update date indicates a substantive revision. A date or team byline alone is not proof of scholarly review. We do not claim independent scholarly review unless a reviewer and scope are explicitly named.

Report a text, attribution or content error

Email support@furqanly.com with the page URL, surah and ayah reference, the wording you believe is incorrect, and a source for the proposed correction. Please distinguish an Arabic text issue from a translation difference or an editorial concern.

Correction reports should be checked against the named source. Substantive editorial corrections should receive an updated article date; changes to the presentation must preserve the identity of the quoted translation. Sending a report does not guarantee that a proposed interpretation will be adopted. Support details.
